Raspberry Smoothie Bowl

Updated: May 5, 2019

Here's my smoothie bowl I made for breakfast this morning topped with banana, granola, raspberries, chia seeds and coconut flakes.

Making a smoothie bowl is really simple and totally changes how you eat or drink it. I make mine using my Blend Active and pour it into a beautiful bowl. I then either use some of the ingredients that I used in the smoothie on top and add some granola, seeds or nuts.

Serves: 1

Time to prepare: 10 minutes

Ingredients...

  • 1 apple

  • A handful of raspberries

  • 3/4 banana (1 if you're not adding toppings)

  • 4 frozen cubes of coconut water*

  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds.

Toppings... (optional)

  • 1/4 Banana

  • Raspberries

  • Sprinkle of coconut flakes

  • Granola of your choice

How to create...

  • First, chop your apple and banana. (I've found that it smaller pieces blend better in my bottle).

  • Next, whizz the ingredients together in your blender until smooth.

  • Finally, pour the smoothie mix into your favourite bowl and add your toppings.

* I have a tray of coconut water ice cubes that live in the freezer. Ice cubes would work just as well for the cold freshness and add 1/4 cup coconut water for flavour.

Happy creating,

This recipe is plant based, gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free, vegan and is full of wholesome goodness. All the ingredients I use I try to use organic, local and fair trade where possible and necessary but it’s up to you to choose what you want to use.

Did you know...

Flax seeds contain omega 3 essential fatty acids, lignans and fibre. So if you're wanting to give your body a boost then choose these little seeds. To get the best from the seeds, grind a tablespoon in a coffee grinder, sprinkle some or mix into dishes after they've been cooked and store for only up to a week (1).
